The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior/Principal Scientist to join our team in the translational biomarker discovery department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the readouts of early signs of therapy efficacy in clinical trials using TCR-engineered Treg therapies for treating Type 1 Diabetes (T1D).
Key Responsibilities- Conceive and Execute Translational Biomarker Discovery: Develop and implement hypotheses-driven and technology-driven methods to identify patient inclusion, drug exposure, and proof of biology biomarkers for T1D.
- Identify and Analyze Historic Data Sets: Utilize clinical trial samples to inform clinical trial efficacy readouts and identify novel biomarkers for patient selection.
- Reverse Translational Research: Conduct research to prove the mechanism of action of TCR-engineered Treg therapies using clinical trial samples.
- Develop and Implement Bioassays: Design, develop, and implement appropriate assays for clinical deployment, transfer internally or externally for qualification and validation.
- Author Reports and Regulatory Documents: Prepare and submit reports and regulatory documents to support clinical trial efficacy and biomarker implementation.
- Communicate and Present Results: Effectively communicate and present results to a multi-disciplinary team, including peer scientists, clinicians, and management.
- Manage Associate Scientists: Supervise and mentor associate scientists to ensure successful implementation of translational biomarker discovery and bioassay development.
- PhD in Immunology, Pharmacology, Biological Sciences, or Related Field: Minimum 2 years of related work experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
- Experience with Translational Biomarker Discovery: Proven track record of identifying and validating translational biomarkers and implementing them in clinical trials for autoimmune disease indications.
- Knowledge of Regulatory Guidelines: Broad understanding of regulatory guidelines on biomarkers and bioanalytical assays, as well as biomarker enabling technologies.
- Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey results to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Teamwork and Problem-Solving: Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, navigate complex problems, and execute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
