Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Injury Specialist to join our team at AppleOne. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and efficient intake process for patients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for helping others, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment. As a Medical Injury Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering patient information, verifying insurance, obtaining pre-authorizations, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed before patient appointments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Taking phone calls from patients and assisting them with the intake process, ensuring all necessary information is collected and accurate.
  • Obtaining and verifying patient demographic, insurance, and medical history information.
  • Ensuring all required documents, authorizations, and referrals are completed and filed appropriately.
  • Coordinating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations for procedures and treatments.
  • Answering patient inquiries regarding the intake process, insurance coverage, and appointment scheduling.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient intake or medical office administration.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and prior authorization processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as major medical, dental, vision, 401k, and statutory sick pay where required.
