Position Overview
As a key member of our dental practice, the Orthodontist will assess and address common orthodontic issues in patients. This role involves interpreting diagnostic tests, including x-rays and impressions, and discussing treatment options and associated costs with patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough examinations of patients' dental health, utilizing diagnostic tools to identify diseases or abnormalities and formulate effective treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the Treatment Coordinator to communicate treatment strategies clearly to patients, ensuring they understand their options.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions affecting teeth, gums, and oral structures, providing both preventive and corrective services.
  • Educate patients on preventive dental care and the implications of dental issues.
  • Utilize various dental instruments and technologies to perform procedures, including root canal treatments and oral surgeries.
  • Oversee administrative functions, including staff management and training, as well as handling insurance claims and related paperwork.
  • May specialize in areas such as Pediatrics, Endodontics, or Oral Surgery, depending on licensure.
  • Administer anesthetics to minimize patient discomfort during procedures.
  • Prescribe medications as necessary and design prosthodontic appliances tailored to patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate dental health records and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in the field through continuous education and training.

Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Dentistry (DDS or DMD) with Board Certification.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a dental program.
  • Current licensure to practice dentistry and prescribe medications.
  • Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with ongoing education requirements.
