As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our field crew, ensuring the accurate collection of data and information, and maintaining company equipment and survey vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of surveyors in the field, ensuring the efficient operation of the crew and the accurate collection of data and information.
  • Operate robotic total stations and GPS receivers to collect relevant data and information.
  • Maintain company equipment and survey vehicles, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the field crew.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years' experience as a survey crew chief or in a similar role.
  • Skilled in the use of GPS devices, data collectors, and total stations.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
  • Knowledge of land surveying principles, techniques, and practices.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including construction specifications, plans, and regulations.
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment and work outdoors in various field conditions.
  • Valid driver's license.
