Job Summary

As a Store Detective at ShopRite, you will play a critical role in protecting the company's assets and ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loss Prevention: Utilize Company Loss Prevention reporting and applications to identify potential loss and shrink, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents of theft, shoplifting, and other security breaches, and gather evidence to support apprehensions and prosecutions.
  • Apprehensions: Detect and apprehend customers, associates, and vendors for theft in a professional and respectful manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Criminal Actions: Represent the Company in criminal actions resulting from apprehensions, and provide testimony and evidence as required.
  • Special Investigations: Participate in special investigations as assigned, and provide support to other departments as needed.

  • Effective communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and law enforcement agencies.
  • Professionalism and integrity: Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity in all interactions, and to uphold the company's values and policies.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and to identify and investigate security breaches.
