Job Title: Transmission Line Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at Leidos Holding. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering high-voltage transmission lines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer high-voltage transmission lines, including overhead utility systems, voltage conversion projects, and infrastructure replacement projects.
  • Apply industry standards, such as NESC, NEC, and ASCE, to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals, and manage client relations.
  • Lead a high-performing engineering team, supervising direct reports and collaborating with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
  • Prepare bidding documents, plans, and specifications, and collaborate with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a minimum of four (4) years of prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
  • Experience in reviewing full transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models, foundations, materials, plans, and profiles, and construction packages.
  • Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements, construction specifications, material procurement process, project schedules, and construction work packages.
  • Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals, and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams, and leadership experience supervising others.
