The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of technical tasks including testing, troubleshooting, configuring, installing, and calibrating instrumentation and electrical systems. Our operations play a crucial role in supplying essential materials for global industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair a range of transmitters, sensors, switches, and analyzers.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Install and route tubing, including steam tracing on process equipment.
  • Perform wiring of panels and connect power supply wires to machinery and equipment.
  • Conduct installation, inspection, maintenance, and calibration of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic equipment.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical machines, including transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
  • Repair and calibrate weigh scale systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to job functions.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Install and repair electrical systems and components.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals, making necessary updates for record-keeping.
  • Understand and apply NEC code and NFPA70E standards to ensure safe electrical practices.
  • Occasionally work with high voltage electricity and hazardous materials, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Utilize work orders and Safety Data Sheets to perform tasks safely and accurately.
  • Manage work orders and material requisitions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical, or equivalent experience with Dual NCCER Certification in Instrumentation & Electrical.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial instrumentation/electrical environment.
  • Proficient in calibration and configuration software.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop sheets, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Willingness to work in environments with hot process equipment and hazardous materials, using appropriate PPE.
  • Strong ability to follow standard procedures and equipment manuals.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Availability for occasional overtime and after-hours call-outs on a rotational basis.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools and testing equipment.
  • Advanced education and professional certifications are advantageous.
