Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to layouts for applying computer-generated vinyl or vibrant graphic images onto specified materials.
- Prepare surfaces for vinyl application, including tasks such as cutting, painting, laminating, and cleaning.
- Remove excess vinyl from computer-cut designs, utilizing various weeding techniques based on size and complexity.
- Operate and maintain printing equipment effectively.
- Conduct quality control checks before and after production by accurately interpreting work orders and identifying errors.
- Execute finishing tasks such as laminating and mounting printed materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in storage areas.
- Oversee all offsite installations of signage and print media.
- Evaluate installation environments to determine necessary techniques.
- Review job specifications and confirm measurements prior to commencement.
- Work autonomously as well as collaboratively with team members when necessary.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in signage production is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4 hours or more).
- Capability to lift weights of 50 pounds or more.
- Flexibility to lean over a work surface and utilize repetitive hand motions for vinyl application.
- Ability to perform under pressure while producing high-quality, high-volume work.
- Proficient in using light power tools.
- Possess a clean driving record.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Experience with scissor lifts and bucket trucks is a plus but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in installing various types of signs and graphics is advantageous but not essential.
