Job Overview

The Assistant Property Manager will be responsible for assisting the Property Manager in the overall operation of the property and the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that ensure a well-managed and well-maintained building.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues promptly.
  2. Work closely with the Property Manager to learn all aspects of management, including administrative and financial duties.
  3. Assist with creating monthly reports on renewals, rents, leasing, traffic, and resident retention programs.
  4. Support lease renewals and contribute to marketing strategies to drive traffic.
  5. Manage rent collection, issue notices as required, and maintain accurate records.
  6. Distribute late notices and violation notices according to company rules and regulations.
  7. Conduct daily property walks to inspect vacant apartments and ensure compliance with company standards.
Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred but not required.
  • One or two years of property management-related experience is essential.
  • Strong working knowledge of multifamily property management, including Fair Housing laws and regulations, resident relations, leasing, rent collections, eviction procedures, accounting principles, and software usage.
  • Proficiency in internet software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and industry software like Bluemoon, Yieldstart.
  • Onsite or Yardi (CRM, Voyager, P2P) is required.
Salary

$62,000 - $72,000 per year, based on experience.
