Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Associate Field Engineer specializing in Process Automation. This role involves providing essential Technical Advisory Services (TAS) to facilitate the installation and commissioning of various projects while adhering to established schedules and performance benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission software to align with design performance standards.
  • Conduct tune-ups to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Enhance system efficiency through optimization techniques.
  • Diagnose and resolve application and design challenges in rolling systems.
  • Design, configure, and validate software to fulfill contractual obligations as needed.
  • Collect relevant information from authorized sources to evaluate project requirements related to the assigned scope of work.
  • Deliver regular, precise, and thoughtful commissioning status updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead the process component of client witness system acceptance tests when designated.
  • Suggest modifications to commissioning procedures to enhance system performance.
  • Propose software enhancements to the engineering team.
  • Maintain up-to-date safety qualifications pertinent to assigned tasks and comply with both company and client safety protocols.
  • Educate client personnel on system maintenance practices and operational procedures to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Plan and implement special projects lasting up to nine months to support departmental objectives when assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with control automation coursework, Materials Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven knowledge of C++ and object-oriented programming within a Microsoft development environment.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Established successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in assigned responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally over 75% of the time, sometimes with limited notice.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
  • Experience with Database Applications.
  • Familiarity with VMS Operating Systems.
