Senior Clinical Coordinator for Long-Term Care

About the RoleThis is a full-time position that combines clinical nursing duties with administrative coordination to facilitate optimal reimbursement for resident care. You will oversee the completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and ensure compliance with federal regulations for resident assessments.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the DON, CRM, and various disciplines to assist in the completion of the MDS, Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), and all associated processes.
- Ensure completion of the assessment within the timeframe as mandated by federal regulations and company policies.
- Manage the overall resident assessment process and tracking of all Medicare/Managed Care/Medicaid case mix documents to ensure appropriate and optimal reimbursement for services provided.
- Assist with the coordination of resident care planning processes under the direction of the DON or CRM.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an MDS/Clinical Reimbursement Nurse role.
- Current State Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state where practicing is required.
- Current CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications.
- Excellent knowledge of case-Mix, Federal Medicare PPS process, Quality Indicator Process, and OBRA regulations.
- Good oral and written communication skills and ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees.
