Key Responsibilities
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily activities of order fulfillment, which includes:
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards as outlined in company policies.
- Assessing workload and delegating tasks to team members to enhance productivity and precision.
- Adhering to all safety protocols during receiving and storage operations.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and operational areas.
- Operating powered industrial equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Overseeing the loading and unloading of materials.
- Managing the processing of damaged or rejected products efficiently.
- Implementing stock rotation and recycling practices effectively.
- Providing constructive feedback to management regarding performance and operational improvements.
- Enforcing company policies and safety guidelines consistently.
- Training new employees and refreshing current staff on equipment use and operational procedures.
- Conducting briefings at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure clear communication.
- Maintaining sanitation and housekeeping standards in the warehouse.
- Taking ownership of shift responsibilities and making informed decisions based on operational needs.
- Performing additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations and leadership.
- Experience with handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to read and understand English.
- Certification in operating powered industrial equipment.
- The ability to lead by example and maintain a positive work environment.
- Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communication skills for addressing concerns promptly.
- The capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and adaptability to changing work conditions.
Schedule
Typical shifts will be scheduled from Sunday to Wednesday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with a 5% shift differential.
