Bakery Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Maggiano's Little Italy. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for the production of all baked goods, pastries, and desserts for our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily inventory management to prioritize product utilization and identify inventory and equipment needs.
• Meet with the executive chef to coordinate and ensure production standards.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of pastry recipe books and dessert menus.
• Produce high-quality pastries and desserts for the restaurant and special functions.
• Maintain food quality standards, including consistency and presentation.
• Coordinate proper food storage and handling procedures.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-year pastry chef experience in a full-service restaurant or equivalent.
• Ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
• Ability to safely transport containers weighing up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
• Ability to work a variable and flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
