Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Maggiano's Little Italy. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for the production of all baked goods, pastries, and desserts for our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inventory management to prioritize product utilization and identify inventory and equipment needs.
- Meet with the executive chef to coordinate and ensure production standards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of pastry recipe books and dessert menus.
- Produce high-quality pastries and desserts for the restaurant and special functions.
- Maintain food quality standards, including consistency and presentation.
- Coordinate proper food storage and handling procedures.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Communicate effectively with management and team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-year pastry chef experience in a full-service restaurant or equivalent.
- Ability to meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
- Ability to safely transport containers weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift.
- Ability to work a variable and flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
