Contract Duration: 6 months with potential for extension or conversion.

Compensation:

  • 3-5 years of experience: $33-$35 per hour
  • 5+ years of experience: $40-$42 per hour

Shift Schedule: Night shift; Wednesday to Saturday (5 PM - 5 AM)

Essential Qualifications: Candidates must have direct experience with any combination of the following:

  • Gearboxes
  • Conveyor systems
  • Drive mechanisms
  • Models
  • Control systems
  • Relays
  • Sensors
  • Mechanical and electrical tools
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Basic PLC and controls troubleshooting
  • Low and high voltage control systems
  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior mechanics to troubleshoot equipment issues (labelers, customized machinery, etc.)
  • Conduct PLC preventative maintenance
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on manufacturing machinery and systems
  • Repair malfunctions in machines, systems, and auxiliary equipment
  • Regularly inspect machinery and systems for faults to minimize downtime
  • Initiate improvements to enhance machine and equipment efficiency
  • In more senior roles, act as a team leader to ensure work meets established targets
  • Demonstrate knowledge of industry policies, procedures, and practices
  • Develop expertise in the field at higher job levels
  • Document all activities accurately

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. is required; an Associate's or technical degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

5+ years of relevant experience or completion of PBS requirements with successful assessment at the appropriate level.
