Job Summary:
Troubleshoot and perform mechanical repairs and adjustments of production machinery and equipment, including preventative maintenance, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform job duties in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Communicate openly with others, keeping them informed of issues and progress, and share job knowledge to work effectively with others.
- Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment, diagnosing problems and replacing or repairing parts as needed.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, prints, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities, using hand tools, power tools, and material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001:2015 is required.
- Minimum of five years electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience, with automotive Tier 1 experience and crane certification preferred.
- Forklift license is also required.
Work Environment:
- Constant communication with employees, peers, and management.
- Frequent distractions and interruptions in a challenging and fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- Excellent attendance record is required, with ability to read and follow work instructions and apply understanding of details but simple written or oral instructions.
- Noisy environment with overtime as required.
- Office and plant floor settings with travel as required.
Health & Safety:
- Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company and plant rules, policies, and procedures.
- Must use or wear Personal Protective Equipment and certain clothing as required by the Company.
