Chamber of Commerce Director

The Phillips Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a visionary leader to serve as our Executive Director. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's growth and success.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with members and stakeholders
• Develop and execute strategies to promote the business community
• Manage and coordinate events, marketing, and promotional activities
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting
• Supervise the planning and execution of chamber events
• Organize and maintain the Chamber office with literature, etc.
• Maintain financial records; A/R & A/P; tax deposits, payroll, bank reconciliations
• Establish marketing for events and other Chamber activities
• Greet visitors and reply to visitors' requests for information
• Solicit memberships with new and existing businesses
• Oversee area tourism efforts

• High School diploma (mandatory)
• Associate degree or bachelor's degree in marketing, human resources, or accounting
• Experience with membership practices
• Experience in creating and/or executing large and small events
• Basic bookkeeping skills
• Social media skills
• Computer skills (basic programs, Microsoft suite, and website management)
• Supervisory experience

The Executive Director must be able to create good relationships with members, reaching out to find ways for the Chamber to help members be successful. The Director is required to be organized, efficient, creative, and innovative.

• Paid time off

Monday to Friday, with some evenings and weekends required for meetings and events.
