Position: Procurement Support Associate

Exempt Status: Hourly

Primary Objective: The Procurement Support Associate will collaborate closely with vendors, category managers, operations, accounts payable, and field sales consultants to facilitate and support all facets of the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing databases related to vendors and items for assigned category managers, ensuring data accuracy and currency.
  • Process purchase order confirmations accurately and promptly for assigned category managers.
  • Handle purchase order invoices with precision and timeliness for assigned category managers.
  • Support category managers in monitoring and managing the sales of new items to meet company movement goals and enforce vendor policies regarding new items.
  • Coordinate with operations and accounts payable to address overages, shortages, and damaged purchase order receipts through effective vendor communication and billing follow-up.
  • Manage special order processing, tracking, and returns for assigned category managers, providing timely updates to sales regarding special order adjustments.
  • Respond to field sales consultant requests for credits on items with manufacturer defects or concerns, processing vendor credits and billing for approved credits.
  • Act as a representative of the company's values in all interactions.
  • Perform additional duties and special tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and current and future third-party ERP software.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to collaborative efforts to achieve objectives.
