Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in College Station, Texas.

Job Summary

The Cardiac Sonographer performs advanced cardiac ultrasound services and procedures for adult patients, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and stress tests
  • Prepare patients for procedures, obtain clinical history, and adjust imaging techniques as needed
  • Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of the Echocardiography Lab and its equipment
  • Act as a resource to other staff, physicians, and students regarding equipment, techniques, and procedures
  • Work closely with the cardiac sonographer quality coordinator to ensure quality processes and protocols are adhered to
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification within 6 months of hire
