We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Construction team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing business unit strategy, managing complex files and portfolios, and guiding junior staff.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute regional marketing and sales strategies to drive new business production and profitability goals.
- Collaborate with the Construction team, colleagues in other business units, and Field Operations professionals to advance Company goals.
- Determine appropriate pricing, terms, and conditions for complex files and portfolios.
- Oversee the business unit's more complex files and portfolios, managing within delegated underwriting authority and adhering to referral triggers.
- Guide and mentor junior staff within the New York & Pacific Regions, taking on leadership roles within the team.
- Document underwriting files thoroughly and accurately, adhering to all underwriting standards and guidelines.
- At least 5 years underwriting experience, preferably with a background in Construction.
- Experience with multiple lines of insurance.
- Bachelor's degree.
