Job Summary and Qualifications
As a proficient Nurse in the Endoscopy Unit, you will deliver exceptional patient care during invasive procedures.
Under the guidance of the Clinical Manager, you will collaborate with team members to ensure that procedure rooms are thoroughly prepared.
Our team is dedicated to supporting one another, and we seek a remarkable nurse who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.
In this position:
- You will perform general nursing responsibilities and demonstrate competence in skills specific to this specialty.
- You will ensure efficient room turnover and patient flow.
- You will complete all necessary documentation and computer charting to guarantee accurate and timely patient records and charges.
- You will utilize your prior experience to anticipate and fulfill the physician's needs during procedures.
You will educate patients and their families about their care and address any concerns they may have.
You will facilitate communication among patients, physicians, staff, families, and other departments as required.You will adhere to patient and employee safety protocols, including hand hygiene, universal precautions, personal protective equipment usage, and isolation procedures.
You will maintain a composed and professional demeanor, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:
- Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse License.
- Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
- CGRN certification preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS or ACLS) from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- A minimum of one year of operating room experience is required; telemetry/critical care experience is preferred.
