Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The Huntington at Nashua. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient health problems and administer nursing care to ill, disabled, convalescent, or injured patients.
  • Maintain vital medical records and implement nursing care plans.
  • Advise patients on health maintenance and provide guidance on preventative services.
  • Oversee entire operations of healthcare units, including resident rooms, common areas, and dining areas.
  • Assign duties, delegate responsibilities, and coordinate patient care according to the abilities of nursing department staff.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physician and perform treatments as necessary.
  • Accurately report patient symptoms, reactions, and progress, and record medications, treatments, and observations.
  • Complete monthly summaries on nursing and assisted living residents.
  • Promote care that maximizes patient independence.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care of members.
  • Help develop patient care plans in the nursing unit and the assisted living area.
  • Prepare monthly employee schedules and update.
  • Maintain good relationships with residents and their families and friends; co-workers.
  • Maintain a comfortable, orderly, safe environment for residents, staff, and self.
  • Identify nursing problems needing study and work toward their solution.
  • Participate in the establishment of objectives and policies of nursing service.
  • Participate in evaluation of her personnel.
  • Provide direct nursing care when necessary.
  • Assume all other duties as assigned by DNS.
  • Attend an annual in-service on body mechanics, right-to-know information, and fire and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competence in her/his area of practice by vigilant patient observation and assessment.
  • Development and implementation of nursing care plans and therapeutic interpersonal relationships with patients and their families.
  • She/he should demonstrate the ability to supervise and teach other personnel and maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Qualifications should include graduation from a state accredited school of nursing, current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of New Hampshire, and progressive experience in the nursing field.
