Job Summary

As a Physical Therapist at Prisma Health, you will play a vital role in inspiring health and serving with compassion. You will be responsible for planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team, and providing direction and supervision to Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, and Rehab Techs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough initial physical therapy evaluations and re-evaluations, and design a physical therapy plan of care that addresses the patient's specific needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan that is coordinated and integrated with other services, and revises the plan as indicated.
  • Implement and manage a specific and comprehensive treatment plan, and participate in patient discharge planning.
  • Actively participate in patient and family education, providing education and training on diagnoses, progress, and long-term functional outcomes.
  • Comply with departmental policies for documentation, ensuring that all aspects of assessment, planning, treatment, and discharge are documented in a legible and timely manner.
  • Meet team/department productivity standards, and comply with established standards of efficient scheduling to maintain appropriate levels of productivity.
  • Assist with supervision/mentorship to Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants, exercising sound judgment in delegating tasks and providing feedback on performance.
  • Complete assignments in a timely and thorough manner, and demonstrate a willingness to assist and respect the rights of other team members.
  • Achieve annual goals, establishing specific objectives with your manager and providing supporting information related to progress made toward achieving established goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Physical Therapy.
  • SC PT Licensure from the Board of PT Examiners or PT Compact Commission.

Work Environment

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring a high level of professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork.
