We are currently seeking a highly skilled Architect (Level II) to join our team in our National Harbor, Maryland office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee small to mid-size building projects, from concept to construction administration.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of architectural design, detailing, building materials, building codes, construction techniques, and costs.
  • Select, evaluate, and implement architectural procedures and techniques to ensure project completion.
  • Design innovative architectural concepts in response to user, programmatic, environmental, and cultural contexts.
  • Define and develop functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovations, preparing information on design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time.
  • Write specifications as assigned, coordinate with material manufacturers, and inspect raw materials.
  • Prepare and review design documents, construction documents, shop drawings, and materials for compliance with design intent and program requirements.
  • Develop design drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and models, utilizing advanced CAD and 3D software.
  • Solve complex problems related to architectural design.
  • Manage project scheduling, budgets, and coordinate the bidding process.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect, verify, and evaluate project progress.
  • Possess experience and competency in supervision and production of drafting and detailing.
  • Experience and competency in coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during project development.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organized with the ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Hardworking and self-motivated, with the ability to work well under pressure.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university.
  • Preparation and eligibility to sit for the NCARB Exam.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of architecture design experience.
  • Knowledge of building codes, state agency procedures, and design standards.
  • Experience with BIM software, such as Revit 2016 or later.
  • AutoCAD proficiency.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-Design.
  • Eligibility to work in the US.
