Operations Manager

Virginia Linen Service, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Processing Plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in management, production, and maintenance, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the workforce, scheduling, training, and mentoring of all associates. They will also coordinate and ensure all corporate training guidelines are being met for all associates.
The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of production, be willing to work second shift and rotating weekends, and have experience with Microsoft Office applications. They will also have a general understanding of the internet's emerging role in vendor communication and a background in maintenance and preventative maintenance.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing multi-functional areas, including production, engineering, office administration, and delivery drivers. They will also be responsible for coordinating and insuring all corporate training guidelines are being met for all associates.
The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, including formal training on how to manage and lead by example, conflict resolution, and training. They will also have good common sense, budgeting skills, and the ability to lead and motivate by example.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for exercising good fiscal judgment, seeking ways to improve processes to increase profits, and acting to protect company assets. They will also be responsible for all company assets, including building, equipment, fleet, inventory, and parts.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, including listening and allowing for a free exchange of ideas, creating an environment of trust by giving and receiving honest communication, and communicating in an open, considerate manner with associates, managers, hubs, customers, and vendors.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies, assigning management to specific duties, establishing operational procedures, and developing production schedules to utilize equipment and employees most effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teamwork, respecting and supporting team members, managing conflict effectively, and supporting decisions that are best for the company.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for making a commitment to the success of the team, department, and company, investing in training and development, seeking challenges, and assuming additional responsibility as necessary.
The successful candidate will have a high level of energy, be able to have fun and enjoy what they do, and be willing to pass a drug screen whenever required.
