About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Avantic Lodging Enterprises.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare all food items according to standardized recipes and hotel standards.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to guests, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
  • Banquet and Catering: Assist with banquet and catering events, preparing and serving food as required.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies, reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other culinary staff members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent, and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Certifications: Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements).
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, ability to work well under pressure, and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
Working Conditions

The Culinary Specialist will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
