Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all inbound and outbound freight operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Lead a small team of operators, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient order picking, staging, and loading.
  • Verify quantity and quality of inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining high standards of quality control.
  • Manage daily reports, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee fleet operations, including pickup and delivery scheduling, intercompany transfers, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with production and distribution teams to ensure seamless shipment status, verifying product availability and scheduling.
  • Adapt to changes in production schedules, truck schedules, and missed appointments, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Regularly review processes and procedures, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • College degree or 5-7 years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain distribution, or logistics.
  • Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
  • Forklift certification a plus, but not required.
  • Experience in cold chain/food transportation a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to and manage change.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
