Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist elderly clients or those recovering from medical procedures with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and provide support with mobility.
  • Facilitate movement within the home and outside, including trips to medical appointments and leisurely walks.
  • Support clients with personal care, meal planning and preparation, and physical therapy exercises.
  • Help clients with shopping needs or accompany them during outings.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and report any unusual occurrences.
  • Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Engage clients in essential daily activities, including meal assistance and other necessary tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Enjoy working closely with individuals and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve skills.
  • Ability to fulfill all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Exhibit compassion and support in all interactions.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care settings.
  • Commitment to upholding health and safety standards.
  • Demonstrate a supportive and caring demeanor.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience as a caregiver.
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality care.
  • Experience with Hoyer Lift, as applicable to client needs.
