Landscape & Irrigation Inspector Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Landscape & Irrigation Inspector to join our team at VDLA Landscape Architects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect landscape and irrigation projects under construction to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate and provide field direction to contractors regarding items of non-compliance.
  • Document field direction with written Field Memorandum Form.
  • Conduct regular site visits to review construction and maintenance of irrigation and landscape improvements.
  • Identify plants, trees, and shrubs, and inspect for conformance with plans and specifications.
  • Prepare comprehensive verbal and written reports.
  • Use a computer to effectively operate various maintenance and software programs.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of industry standard landscape construction and maintenance procedures for irrigation and plant material.
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape and irrigation blueprints.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach to work.
