Network Infrastructure Specialist

About the Job:

The Network Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer network equipment and peripherals at Appalachian Regional Healthcare. This role requires a strong understanding of data communications and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper installation and maintenance of computer and telephone equipment according to vendor specifications and codes.
  • Coordinate the use, maintenance, and repair of computer network equipment.
  • Maintain a schematic of the ARH computer network equipment to aid in planning future expansions and troubleshooting existing problems.
  • Evaluate the quality of ARH computer network equipment and maintenance.
  • Assist in procedural training.
  • Maintain inventory of installed and replacement equipment, its location, and record of scheduled maintenance.
  • Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of testing instrumentation operation.
  • Make recommendations for proper network monitoring, testing tools, and associated software.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Computer Science and two years of related experience or minimum of four years of related experience.
  • Successful completion of courses in Data Communications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • Physical ability to exert 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, 25-50 pounds frequently, and 10-20 pounds constantly.
Estimated Salary:

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
