LPN w/Meds, PCN

UPMC Kane is seeking a skilled LPN to join their team in a casual role working in outpatient settings. This is a float position requiring work at various locations in Kane, Johnsonburg, Sheffield, and Mt. Jewett. The LPN's primary role is to assist in the delivery of primary health services and nursing care to individuals and families.

• Assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care for patients and their families.
• Conducts interviews with patients to answer questions related to healthcare problems and provides necessary counseling.
• Administers medications and vaccines as ordered by attending physicians.
• Responsible for sterilization of office equipment and ordering of stock supplies.
• Performs laboratory duties ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA.
• Identifies and communicates educational needs of patients to their physician and does teaching in these areas upon request.
• Assists physician in patient examination and performs specialized procedures.
• Maintains competence through participation in continuing education and other appropriate learning experiences.

• Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing program.
• One year clinical experience preferred.

• Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• CPR required based on AHA standards.
• Must complete licensure examination within FOUR MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
