Staying current with industry advancements through conferences, research, and professional networking is essential. Educating patients and their families about speech disorders and available therapies is also a key component of this role. Detailed documentation of patient history and progress is required.

Additional Responsibilities

The Speech Language Pathologist will participate in interdisciplinary patient care meetings to determine the necessity of involving other healthcare team members. Timely completion of documentation is crucial for compliance with agency policies. Commitment to professional development through in-service programs and maintaining competencies is expected. Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality regarding sensitive patient information is mandatory. Information should only be shared when appropriate and in the best interest of the patient. Maintaining required licenses, certifications, and skill updates is essential. Adherence to all relevant policies and regulations is required.

Active license in the State of Florida

CPR certification

Alzheimer's certification

Medical Errors certification

Domestic Violence certification

Minimum of 1 year of experience in supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges.

This position involves direct patient interaction and is part of a health screening program. Candidates will be required to undergo necessary health screenings.

A valid state driver's license, current vehicle registration and insurance, and a driving record with no more than 2 points in the last 3 years are required. This position is subject to a driver safety program.

Work Schedule

1 hour per week

Compensation Range

The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time employment. Actual compensation may vary based on location and individual qualifications, with a range of $76,800 - $105,800 annually.
