Role Responsibilities
This position is crucial for maintaining patient safety by ensuring the proper functioning of Operating Room equipment and overseeing the management of perioperative equipment.
- Perform timely troubleshooting and coordinate repairs for all equipment in the department.
- Act as a primary resource for physicians and staff regarding equipment issues across various specialties.
- Participate in patient care by operating specialized equipment such as cell savers and lasers.
- Maintain documentation and databases related to equipment repairs and communicate status updates to management.
- Conduct safety checks on all equipment prior to use to ensure patient safety.
- Identify educational needs related to new equipment and assist in training staff.
- Facilitate efficient turnover of OR rooms by anticipating equipment needs.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of experience in perioperative services or related fields.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional education or experience in a related field is preferred.
