JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Custodial Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for students and staff. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining facilities, and supporting the overall operations of the educational institution. The specialist will foster a positive atmosphere conducive to learning and development.
In addition, the Custodial Maintenance Specialist will collaborate with school administrators and staff to uphold cleanliness standards and contribute to the overall functionality of the educational setting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
2. Work closely with school personnel to identify cleaning needs and address maintenance issues promptly.
3. Utilize appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
4. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as necessary.
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all cleaning activities.
6. Report any safety hazards or maintenance concerns to the Facilities Manager.
7. Assist in setting up and taking down furniture and equipment for school events.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the maintenance team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work is an advantage. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
