- Financial Forecasting and Planning: Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
- Audit and Tax Functions: Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms, and review firms' performance.
- Staff Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to staff members regarding financial practices, procedures, and policies.
- Education and Experience: An MBA or CPA is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within an educational institution.
- Knowledge and Skills: A thorough understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with all partners, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
