Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team at the Law Office of Susan A. Katzen. As a Paralegal in our Trust and Estates department, you will play a critical role in assisting our attorneys with estate planning, trust administration, probate, and conservatorship cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney
  • Conduct research and gather information to support the preparation of court documents and pleadings
  • Communicate with clients, courts, financial advisors, trustees, and other personnel to ensure seamless case management
  • File documents with the Court and maintain accurate records of case progress and deadlines
  • Support the office with administrative duties, including answering phones and managing special projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a law firm
  • Paralegal Certification or qualify as a paralegal under California Business & Professions Code §6450
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with knowledge of Actionstep a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and prioritize multiple tasks
