Job Title: Bilingual Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Mount Prospect Academy. As a key member of our Community Based Services team, you will play a vital role in providing short-term support and stabilization to individuals and families in need.

Job Summary:

The Bilingual Mental Health Clinician will be responsible for establishing clear treatment goals and clinically appropriate recommendations for treatment and interventions. You will work closely with clients and their families to identify and utilize long-term community supports and natural supports, as well as agencies in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical support for individuals and their families to overcome obstacles, identify strengths, and develop support networks.
  • Offer support, education, and guidance to assist in developing structure, routines, effective parenting skills, positive communication, safety and behavioral plans, as well as hygiene plans.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure client and family interactions are goal-oriented and clinically appropriate.
  • Perform other services based on individual and family needs, such as nutrition and meal planning, household budgeting, etc.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in social work (MSW), mental health counseling (MHC), or a related field
  • Bilingual skills in English and another language
  • A valid driver's license with insured transportation
  • Ability to travel throughout the region to clients' homes
