Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Photographer WJCL to join our team at the Georgia Association of Broadcasters. As a key member of our visual storytelling team, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality images and videos that bring our stories to life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shoot and edit high-quality video and still images for broadcast and online platforms
- Work closely with reporters and producers to develop and execute visual storytelling strategies
- Collaborate with the assignment desk to cover daily news stories
- Gather and edit video and still images for digital platforms
- Communicate and coordinate with crews in the field to ensure seamless content delivery
- Operate digital editing tools and software to produce high-quality content
- Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
Requirements:
- Computer and software experience
- Previous newsroom experience preferred
- Equivalent military training from Defense Information School (DINFOS) and associated experience will be considered
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
- Efficient operation on ENG trucks
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Exceptional ability to operate digital editing tools
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Self-starter with ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
- College degree in broadcast journalism, broadcast news, or related field
- Experience with Adobe Premiere and other digital editing tools
- Knowledge of ENG, SNG, and wireless data transmission
Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position that requires in-person attendance. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced news environment and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
