Associate Underwriter

CopperPoint Insurance Companies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Underwriter to join our team. As an Associate Underwriter, you will play a critical role in the quoting, issuance, and maintenance of new and renewal business.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare quotes based on set criteria, thresholds, and revisions from Underwriting.
- Assist in reviewing quotes in the rating system to ensure quality control for new and renewal business.
- Solicit renewal information from brokers and agencies, including sending pre-renewal notifications.
- Quality assurance of various aspects throughout the policy lifecycle, including loss information, operations, exposures, pricing, premium audits, endorsements, and bind and issue policies.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Marketing, Finance, or Business.
- Minimum 4 years of full-time work experience in insurance, which can be utilized on a year-for-year basis as a substitute for a degree.
- Knowledge and/or experience with commercial lines of insurance, including classification and experience rating.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and problem-solve.
- Ability to work in a team environment and partner effectively with Underwriters.
