RAYUS Radiology, formerly known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking an MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our dedicated team. We are redefining the landscape of radiology, making it an essential first step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate designated MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. With a focus on patient care, you will deliver MRI services adhering to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm accuracy.
  • Explains MRI procedures to patients, preparing them for the examination and positioning them appropriately.
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses or injuries, while providing continuous support to patients throughout the procedure.
  • Adjusts MRI scanning parameters as necessary to ensure optimal imaging results.
  • Maintains a positive rapport with radiologists, referring providers, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physicians' directives and safety regulations to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Accurately documents patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains MRI equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Follows all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
(5%) MRI Department Support
  • Assists in updating the imaging protocol manual and managing software upgrades.
  • Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed.
  • Participates in training new staff, offering resources and technical guidance as appropriate.
(5%) Completes additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • ARRT registered technologist, currently in good standing.
  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited radiography program.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the relevant state, if applicable.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Proven training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred:
  • Bilingual capabilities.
