Critical Care Nurse

APN Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor and manage patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, including vasopressors, inotropes, and other critical care medications.
- Perform advanced life support procedures, including intubation, ventilation, and cardiac arrest management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce length of stay.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient care and safety.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required.
- Must have cardiovascular experience, and open heart and balloon pump experience.
- Every Other Weekend Coverage Required.
- No Call requirement.
- Self-scheduling.
- Scrubs: Royal Blue.
- Patient Population: Adults - Geriatrics.
- Required Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Care of Ventilated Patient, Interpretation of ABGs, Suctioning.
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
