Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sustainability Engineer to oversee and contribute to environmental engineering initiatives from inception to execution, with a focus on carbon reduction and energy optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead energy evaluations, site assessments, and environmental impact analyses to uncover opportunities for energy and CO2 reduction.
- Conduct comprehensive environmental engineering assessments and draft environmental impact statements for new development projects, operational processes, and regulatory permits.
- Offer specialized knowledge and quantify energy and CO2 savings for various technical initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams at our manufacturing facilities to devise and implement eco-friendly solutions that lessen environmental footprints and enhance sustainability efforts.
- Operate autonomously with minimal oversight.

Influence and Collaboration

- May guide colleagues within the department by clarifying facts, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in energy management, preferably within the automotive or heavy-duty industrial sectors.
- Profound understanding of energy management, efficiency strategies, and decarbonization practices.
- Proficiency in data analytics is essential.
- Experience with energy programs and renewable energy solutions is advantageous.
- Ability to assess energy and CO2 reductions in engineering projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- A holistic and positive approach to challenges and interpersonal interactions.
- Familiarity with the automotive and/or heavy-duty truck industry is beneficial.
