Job Summary

The Department of Forestry & Fire Protection is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Technician to join our team. As an Office Technician, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our department, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to department staff, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining records.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Assist with special projects and events, such as preparing reports and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of department policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications.
Working Conditions

The Office Technician will work in a standard office environment with minimal travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Special Requirements
  • The position requires the ability to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute.
  • The candidate must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming their ability to meet the minimum typing speed.
