Investar Bank National As is seeking a skilled Teller II to join our team. As a Teller II, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling cash transactions, and promoting our bank's products and services.
Key Responsibilities:- Receive and process retail and commercial checking and savings deposits, cash checks, and savings withdrawals.
- Assist with night depository duties, including logging bags, processing deposits, and issuing receipts.
- Provide effective customer service, answer telephones, and direct callers to the appropriate personnel.
- Operate a personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems within given authority.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including issuing official checks, receiving and processing stop payment and hold orders, and accepting loan, installment, and collection payments.
- 1+ year prior banking experience, preferably in cash handling and customer service.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Intermediate experience, knowledge, and training in branch operation activities, terminology, and products and services.
- Basic knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and other Bank operational policies.
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation, host computer system, and word processing, spreadsheet, and account opening software programs.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Basic math skills, including calculating interest and balance accounts, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with general supervision, deal with difficult problems, and apply common sense to carry out instructions.
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and read and interpret documents.
- Ability to travel and lift/move/carry approximately 20 pounds, if required to perform the essential job functions.
