Job Title: Cost Accountant

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including labor and overhead rates, cost rollups, and inventory valuations. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and sales teams to ensure pricing information is accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements. Additionally, this position will provide input into financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain pricing information worldwide, including manufacturing and purchase costs for all products.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure correct pricing structure within the system.
  • Collaborate with sales to establish pack, promo, and specialty pricing to aid in product sales.
  • Prepare pricing models for approval for all markets worldwide.
  • Assist in creating employee product pricing for approval.
  • Prepare VAT reports monthly and quarterly.
  • Prepare monthly tax reports.
  • Provide approval of VAT returns once prepared by international accounting firms.
  • Provide product cost analysis on existing and new products.
  • Use Bill of Materials costing to provide cost changes to management.
  • Work closely with R&D to create cost breakdowns of new products.
  • Provide customs cost information to logistics.
  • Maintain confidentiality on all pricing and costs.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with 2-4 years of cost accounting experience or equivalent combination of both.
  • Experience with Oracle and Exigo ERP systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft with advanced computer skills in Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of inventory valuation and related impacts on financial statements.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.

Work Environment:
This role is based in an office environment with typical noise, dust, lighting, temperature, and physical/ergonomic hazards.
