The University of Central Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated and creative Visual Storyteller to join the Mass Communication Department. This role involves capturing compelling images that reflect a variety of subjects, including news, sports, events, and entertainment.

Work Schedule
  • Up to 25 hours per week during the academic semesters.
  • Up to 35 hours per week during summer sessions and breaks.

Department Overview

The Vista, established in 1903, serves as the student newspaper of the University of Central Oklahoma and is recognized as the longest-running student publication in the state.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:
  • Photograph assigned stories across diverse topics.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure visual alignment with written content.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for this position, students must meet the following enrollment criteria:
  • Fall/Spring Semesters: Enrolled at least half-time (5 hours for graduates, 6 hours for undergraduates).
  • Summer Semester: Enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours or registered for fall classes.

Preferred Qualifications

Students pursuing a degree in mass communications are highly encouraged to apply.
