Job Overview

Mastech Digital specializes in providing technology personnel and Digital Transformation Services to various American enterprises. We are currently in search of a Lead Software Engineer for our client in the Consulting sector. We prioritize our professionals by offering extensive benefits and opportunities for advancement. Position Description: As a Lead Software Engineer, candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Over 5 years of experience in Agile cloud development is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with the Healthcare Eligibility domain is essential.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Java/J2EE frameworks (approximately 8 years preferred), particularly with Spring, SpringBoot, AngularUI, and DROOLS (rule engine) alongside Postgres database.
  • Proficient in development and maintenance utilizing GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Experience with unit testing and code coverage frameworks (SonarQube). Proficiency in Java, Maven, and Junit is required.
  • Experience in Agile environments using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem and associated tools and technologies.

Technical Expertise:

  • Spring Rest, Spring Core, AWS Developer Tools, Java API for RESTful Web Services, Java/J2EE, Node.Js, Full Stack - Java with Angular, Java Spring Framework, SoapUI (API/Webservice), SpringBoot, MIME, Spring MVC, PostgreSQL, AWS Kinesis, AWS S3, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Athena, AWS Lambda, WEB API.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EDI X12.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and comprehend intricate business and engineering challenges.
  • Identify user requirements and design comprehensive user experiences through practical, reliable, and efficient solutions.
  • Exhibit proficiency in architecture (web applications, micro-services-based APIs, data storage) and design solutions using modern, scalable, and open-source technologies.
  • Effectively communicate complex solutions in a straightforward and intuitive manner to various stakeholders.
  • Maintain a holistic view of an enterprise, interconnected systems, interfaces, and downstream impacts when devising solutions.
  • Collaborate with multiple small teams to design, develop, and deliver product features in an incremental and iterative manner.
  • Champion modern application development practices and mentor team members accordingly.
  • Be knowledgeable about various automated testing tools.
  • Exhibit teamwork and a collaborative spirit in addressing challenges.
  • Explore alternatives and rapidly prototype to validate ideas and iterate concepts.
  • Demonstrate proven certifications and maintain publicly available profiles that showcase work and participation in modern collaboration platforms.
  • Exhibit proficiency with automated testing tools.
  • Experience with Healthcare data, particularly Medicaid/Medicare, is a significant advantage.

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience Requirement: A minimum of 8 years of experience is required.
