Educational Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; must possess a valid Arkansas Practical Nurse License. Candidates must pass the OLTC Registry check and hold a valid driver's license. Proficiency in basic computer operations and office equipment is essential, and prior clerical experience is preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY: The role involves delivering high-quality care to resident clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administers and manages medications in accordance with physician directives.
- Maintains accurate medication records as required by the Office of Long-Term Care (OLTC) and the administration.
- Logs monthly and periodic medications in the pharmacy record.
- Holds current First Aid and CPR certifications and provides assistance as necessary during duty hours.
- Obtains and updates TB testing as required, including TB Administration Certification.
- Ensures a valid driver's license is maintained.
- Guides clients in medication administration and offers training during medication distribution as per Individual Program plans.
- Assists clients with personal hygiene tasks, including showers, nail care, and weekly body audits.
- Records daily outcomes related to each Individual Program plan's objectives.
- Documents incidents, nurse notes, and other necessary reports.
- Reports relevant information and incidents to the facility Administrator or designated personnel as per OLTC guidelines.
- Facilitates effective communication among staff and other LPNs.
- Utilizes technology to ensure accurate and efficient EMARS usage.
- Participates in all required training sessions mandated by FCC and OLTC.
- Attends monthly mandatory training at the organization.
- Performs additional duties as assigned to support ongoing facility operations.
- Acts as a driver for client outings to various locations, which may require daily driving. Must demonstrate proficiency in operating a motor vehicle, including passenger vans, and maintain adequate liability coverage for personal vehicles used for transportation.
- This position is classified as safety-sensitive.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all information related to Friendship Community Care, Inc. and its clients, adhering to the organization's Non-Disclosure Policy and HIPAA regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

LANGUAGE ABILITY:
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing basic correspondence and effectively presenting information in small group settings.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense to follow instructions and address problems in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
