Job Summary

We are looking for a Power Dispatching Specialist to join our team at UNICON International, Inc. in Fort Wayne, IN. This onsite position comes with competitive benefits, including Medical, Vision, Dental, and 401 K.

Responsibilities:
  1. Implement and enforce the Company's Safety and Health protocols.
  2. Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
  3. Demonstrate exceptional ethics and support the Company's Corporate Compliance Policy.
  4. Operate company communication systems efficiently.
  5. Monitor crew locations and ongoing work on the distribution network.
  6. Dispatch personnel to handle outages and emergencies.
  7. AUTHORIZE THE ENERGIZING AND RESTORATION OF DISTRIBUTION FACILITIES.
  8. Maintain accurate records of outages.
  9. Document abnormal and defective equipment for distribution facilities.
Qualifications:
  1. Associate degree in electrical or electronic technology.
  2. Bachelor of Science in any field or equivalent education and/or experience.
  3. Successfully complete the System Operator/Power Dispatching Selection System (SOPD) and Support and Administrative (SASS) Data Entry Module Only Tests.

This role involves rotating shifts and high availability for call-outs. The selected candidate must live within or be willing to relocate to within 30 minutes of the reporting location and be able to work under pressure during critical system conditions.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,000 - $90,000, based on experience and qualifications.
