Position Overview:
We are seeking qualified Regional Truck Operators to join our team. This role involves operating a truck and trailer, with occasional responsibilities within the plant when transportation loads are not available. The position is primarily regional, ensuring minimal overnight travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load and transport materials to designated job sites in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle before operation.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing commercial vehicle operation.
- Collaborate with dispatch to manage driving hours effectively, ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly for necessary repairs.
- Operate specialized equipment as required.
- Participate in special projects or assignments as directed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL with endorsements for double and triple air brakes.
- Certification to operate specialized equipment is required.
- Current Federal Medical Card.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Experience in driving preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed by business demands.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
Work Environment:
This position may involve exposure to various weather conditions and requires the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Safety equipment will be provided to ensure a safe working environment.
