Key Responsibilities- Deliver High-Quality Services: Provide direct services to children with diverse needs, fostering their motor, sensory, and cognitive development.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with parents and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each child.
- Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct assessments and evaluations in children's homes to identify specific therapeutic needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Provide Education and Training: Educate and train parents or caregivers on strategies to support their child's development and address specific challenges.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Collaborate with other professionals to support students and share best practices in early childhood development.
- Document and Maintain Records: Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and any related administrative tasks.
- Communicate with Families: Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and involve them in goal-setting and treatment planning.
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy: A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- CA State Licensure: CA State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience Working with Young Children: Experience working with young children in educational or therapeutic settings.
- Knowledge of Inclusive Education: Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education and early childhood development.
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
- Approx. 35 Hours per Week: Approximately 35 hours per week providing home visit therapy to our clients (this includes travel time).
- Approx. 4 Hours Collaboration and Admin Time: Approximately 4 hours collaboration and admin time.
- Approx. 1 Hour per Week Teaching Community Classes: Approximately 1 hour per week teaching community classes and therapeutic playgroups.
- Standing for 2+ Hours per Day: Comfortable standing for 2+ hours per day.
- Stooping, Bending, Climbing, and Walking Frequently: Comfortable stooping, bending, climbing, and walking frequently.
- Lifting up to 40 Pounds: Comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds.
